Products Our Engineers Have Built

Through dedicated projects and team extensions, our engineers have shipped production mobile apps for these companies.

Mobile is all we do.
That's why we're good at it.

DEVSFLOW is a mobile studio based in Toronto, building for guarding, neuro healthcare, fintech, and beyond. Every engineer ships mobile code daily. That focus means faster delivery, fewer bugs, and apps that perform where it matters: spotty connectivity, strict compliance, and hospital-grade reliability.

How We Work With You

Two engagement models, both built around how technical teams actually operate. No black-box handoffs, no surprises at demo day.

Model 01

Custom App Development

End-to-end delivery from architecture to App Store. We own the full mobile stack so your internal team stays focused on backend and business logic.

  • Product scoping and technical architecture review
  • UI/UX design with interactive prototypes
  • Native or cross-platform build (Swift, Kotlin, React Native)
  • CI/CD pipeline setup and automated testing
  • App Store submission and post-launch support

Best for: New products, legacy app rebuilds, or MVP-to-production transitions.

Model 02

Team Extension

Senior mobile engineers embedded directly into your existing workflows. Your repo, your standups, your sprint cadence. No ramp-up friction.

  • Engineers matched to your tech stack and domain
  • Same-timezone collaboration (EST/CST)
  • Integrated into your Jira, Slack, GitHub, and CI tools
  • Weekly progress syncs with your engineering lead
  • Flexible scale: add or reduce headcount per sprint

Best for: Teams behind on roadmap, pre-launch surges, or filling a senior mobile gap.

What a typical engagement looks like

No spec docs back and forth for weeks. We get into your codebase and your standups quickly, then keep you in the loop the whole way.

Day 1

30-minute call with a senior engineer

Not a sales call. You describe the problem, we ask the technical questions that determine whether this is a good fit. If it isn't, we say so and point you somewhere better.

Days 2 to 7

Codebase or spec review, then a scope you can defend internally

If you have a codebase, we read it. If you have a spec, we read that. Either way you get back a one-page scope with assumptions, timeline, and a clear "here is what we will and will not do."

Week 2 onward

In your repo, your standups, your sprint cadence

Engineers join your existing tools (GitHub, Jira or Linear, Slack). Bi-weekly demos with working builds on your device. Same workflow as a senior internal hire, no separate "agency review" cycle.

Launch week

App Store submission and monitoring in place before traffic arrives

We handle App Store and Play Console submission, set up Crashlytics or your preferred crash reporting, and tag the release for rollback if anything misbehaves.

After launch

Handoff or stay on

If you have an internal team, we do a real handoff with documentation and a one-week overlap. If you don't, we roll into a maintenance engagement that keeps the app healthy through OS updates, dependency drift, and policy changes.

Industries We Serve

We don't claim to know every industry. We know the four where we've shipped real production apps and seen what reliability actually costs.

Vertical 01

Guarding

Offline-first mobile apps for security guards and field teams operating where connectivity is not guaranteed.

Vertical 02

Neuro Healthcare

Biosignal monitoring, EEG capture, and clinical data apps built to medical-grade reliability standards.

Vertical 03

Fintech

Mobile banking, payments, and financial dashboard apps built for Canadian regulatory environments.

Vertical 04

Banking

Mobile apps for established financial institutions. Stricter compliance, legacy core integration, biometric authentication, secure transaction flows.

These are our core verticals, but mobile problems are universal. If your industry needs reliable apps, let's talk.

Meet the Team

Common questions

The questions buyers usually ask first.

How much does a custom mobile app cost?

Most production iOS and Android apps we build land between $80,000 and $300,000 CAD, depending on scope, hardware integration, and compliance requirements. Smaller scoped MVPs can start around $40,000. We do not quote a number without reading your codebase or spec first, because numbers based on guesses are always wrong.

How long does mobile app development take?

A typical single-platform mobile app takes 3 to 6 months from kickoff to App Store. Hardware-connected apps (BLE, sensors, EEG) take longer because they sync to firmware cycles. We start every engagement with a one-week scoping phase that produces a defensible timeline.

Native iOS and Android or React Native?

Depends on what the app does. For apps with BLE, sensors, sustained background work, or camera pipelines, we recommend native. For simpler content and forms apps that need fast iteration across both platforms, React Native is often the right call. We tell you honestly which fits, even when it costs us a deal.

Do you maintain apps you did not build?

Yes. Most of the apps we maintain were built by other teams. We start with a codebase audit during onboarding, document the architecture and risks, then take over crash monitoring, OS update testing, dependency upkeep, and the bug fix queue.

Where is DEVSFLOW based and where do clients work with you from?

Toronto, Canada. We work with Canadian and US clients in the EST and CST time zones, which gives us same-day standup overlap with most North American teams. Five of seven team members are in Toronto, two are in Calgary.

What size projects do you take on?

From 6-week senior engineer placements through multi-year mobile builds. We do not take on projects under a 6-week runway because there is no time to do the codebase or scope work properly.

Why not hire an in-house mobile engineer instead?

Hiring a senior mobile engineer takes 3 months minimum, plus a ramp month. If you need capacity sooner or only for a defined project window, embedding a DEVSFLOW engineer through our staffing engagement lets you ship in week one. If you want to convert someone full-time after, we have a path for that.
